News reports reveal that an Ohio woman has been arrested on assault charges after attacking her husband, knocking him unconscious because he had not gotten her a vals present.
The woman identified as Kimberly Hammond, 46, had reportedly been drinking, while arguing with her husband before the incident occurred.
Washington County Sheriff's deputies reveal that she had scratched and hit his face after the argument escalated, and allegedly grabbed a mini baseball bat, hitting him on the back of his head.
The man had reportedly been knocked unconscious, as his wife continued to beat him.
Hammond revealed that she had been angry because he had forgotten to get her a Valentine gift.

WTAP-TV reports that a breath test showed Hammond had a blood-alcohol level of .221, which led to her immediate arrest on Sunday over assault and domestic violence charges.
