Woman Spends $7000 to Marry Herself in Paris

 A 42-year old American woman who changed her name from Desiree Longabaugh to Beautiful Existence has revealed that she spent up to $7000 (about 2 million Naira) on a trip to Paris just to marry herself!

The mother of two who wore a white dress and a pair of trainers as she recited vows she had written to herself. The “wedding” took place under the Eiffel tower, and an officiant oversaw the wedding through Skype as the social media and marketing executive could find no one to do it in person in Paris.

Speaking about her “marriage” she said, “It was hugely emotional…. Looking at myself on that screen as I Skyped the officiant, saying exactly what I wanted to say to myself was soul-shifting. I believe everybody should self-marry before they even marry anyone else. It allows you to drop that pressure of having to have somebody else with you in order to be successful.”

Beautiful Existence will be a year old in the “self-marriage” this June.

Please help me; this is bigger than me.

The thing is, I want to settle down with my love whom I have dated for over 2 yrs now. But the problem I have now has to do with my in-laws and their kinsmen.

Ngo okpala people in Imo state want to render me useless with their traditional list. The list they gave me is close to ‎600,000 naira. I don't know whether they intentionally want to scare me away or if that is really how they do but my fiancee said that her elder sister's husband was given the same list but I don't believe it because that guy who married her elder sister is not even rich so I can't understand how he coughed out such money.

I am confused. I really do not know what to do now. They told me that if I'm not ready to marry, I should leave their daughter alone. I have even tried to borrow but all my friend are crying that they don't have money because of the economic situation of the country.

One of my friends suggested that I should get her pregnant and that when her family sees it, they will become helpless. I have been thinking about it but I don't know how to tell her of the idea and I don't know how she will react to it.

Please advice me on what to do because I love her so much.

Concluding the message, her husband, Pastor David Adeoye, said: “I have the happiest marriage on earth today because I love my wife and our sons. Don’t hide your child from your spouse. If they can’t love your child with you, then they don’t deserve you."
