An article written by.Bob Otien. To be precise, low libido is an indication that something in your
body is not right. Doctors call it Adrenal fatigue. When your adrenal is
exhausted, nearly all your body organs, including the sexual organs,
suffer.
So can exercise improve this?
As much as you may want to ignore it, exercise will not only keep
your body fit and strong, it will also improve blood flow to the sex
organs and pump up (endorphin) the “feel good” hormones responsible for
boosting up your mood.
Aerobics exercises such as Zumba, dancing, running, swimming and
biking are nice examples. The most important thing to remember is to
avoid over-straining yourself because too much of it can actually lower
your hormonal level.
Beside exercise there are also other factors to consider...
De-stress: Do not stress yourself too much
because if you do, it can cause an increase of stress hormones called
cortisol. And with this increase, your feel good hormones and sexual
drive will tumble. Always find a way to relieve stress for minutes
throughout your day, whether through laughing, meditation, listening to
soft chilling music, nature walks, exercising or even just talking to
friends.
Shed some weight: being overweight either after
giving birth or even not been keen about your health can really affect
not only your self-esteem but also your sexuality. Extensive research on
weight loss has showed that majority of obese people struggling with
weight have indicated problems such as low sex drive, low sex desire or
low sex performance.
The only way to raise your self-esteem, bring that confidence
back and improve your sexually is exercise. Lose those extra kilo, be
fit and get back to your ideal weight where you once felt happy to be
yourself.
Proper nutrition: It has been observed that
eating unhealthy food and over dependence of certain antibiotics or even
drugs can actually weaken your immunity therefore lowering you libido.
Your goal should always be to eat a well-balanced diet. Food rich in
energy, proteins and vitamins A, B, C and E.
Your diet should also have a balance in terms of alkaline and
acidic foods so that you can maintain the alkaline state in your blood
to keep your immunity strong and wade off illness and diseases. When
your food is more acidic, your immunity weakens.
Cut down on alcohol and smoking: Alcohol is a
depressant and taking too much will totally have a negative effect on
your libido. Smoking on the other hand, robs the blood of oxygen due to
the narrowing of the blood vessels. Supply of sufficient oxygenated
blood to the rest of the body and the sexual organs will be restricted
therefore sapping your stamina.
